FILMAKER MONTY ROSS JOINS STEAM TEAMS
Ross facilitated a session with our #digitalmedia students this month.
Having a legacy in film and advertising, he is co-founder of 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks. He co-produced many films with Spike Lee through the 1980s and 1990s, including “She’s Gotta Have It”, “School Daze”, “Do the Right Thing”, “Jungle Fever”, “Malcolm X” , “Crooklyn” and #AirJordans#Nike commercials.
The CTAE Digital Media classes have joined forces with Ross who will visit the 5th and 6th grade classes to impart his experience and knowledge he’s gained as one of the founding fathers of Black film. Monty will aslo serve as a correspondent to the media classes within his daily routine as a producer/director. STEAM Teams is proud to have such a historical and influential pioneer such as Ross collaborating with our students.
